"Our Bestie’s Wedding @ Ming Hao Restaurant . It was such a lovely evening celebrating our bestie’s wedding at Ming Hao — and of course, we paid close attention to the food. Here’s what we had: . 1. 缘来这世龙凤盘 — Loving Happiness Five Combination Platter A beautiful start to the meal — nicely plated and delicious. . 2. 人参鲍鱼炖鸡汤 — Double-Boiled Chicken Soup with Ginseng & Abalone The chicken was a little tough, which shows it had been thoroughly boiled for flavour. Not much ginseng taste, but everyone got their own little abalone — a nice touch. . 3. 港蒸东星班 — Soy Sauce Steamed Red Grouper Fresh, juicy, and tender. A satisfying classic done right. . 4. 黑毛猪排骨 — Iberico Pork Ribs Honestly, couldn’t really tell the difference from regular pork ribs. A bit salty for my liking. . 5. 海参虾滑金瓜西兰花 — Sea Cucumber & Prawn Paste with Pumpkin & Broccoli Loved the sea cucumber, pumpkin, and broccoli — but the shrimp paste wasn’t quite my cup of tea. . 6. 苏打饼鲜虾 — Crispy Soda Cracker Prawns Texture was a little mushy, not as fresh as we’d hoped. . 7. 卤肉芋头饭 — Braised Pork Belly with Yam Rice A surprise favourite! Full of flavour and perfectly seasoned. Some of us even packed the leftovers home. . 8. 冰糖燕窝 — Sweet Honey Bird’s Nest Adorable little dessert — though by this point we were all too full, so most of it went home with us too. .
